Single Implant

A dental implant treatment known as a single tooth implant can be used to replace a single lost tooth. Your dentist will ensure the titanium post is securely implanted into the jawbone where the tooth was missing in order to successfully replace the root of the tooth. This is followed by the placement of a dental crown atop the titanium implant.

When just one tooth needs to be fixed, this option is available. When replacing a missing tooth, a single dental implant is preferable to a tooth-supported permanent bridge. When only one tooth needs to be pulled, the health of the other teeth is not jeopardised. An additional benefit of a single implant over a dental bridge is the ease of care.

An individual tooth implant comprises a titanium screw-shaped implant that is surgically implanted into the jawbone and an abutment that serves to attach the implant to the dental crown or bridge. The dental crown is the part of the restoration that the patient will notice. The prospect of obtaining a dental implant may cause some apprehension, but you needn’t worry about the surgery itself.

Home whitening gel usually needs to be applied daily for two to three weeks. Over-the-counter kits also are widely available for home use. They provide trays to hold the gel, or whitening strips that stick to your teeth.
